After much reflection, I have made the difficult decision to step away from the Sitefinity community after 22 years.
This is not an easy post for me to write.
For more than two decades, Sitefinity has been a major part of my professional life. It was more than a CMS platform to me. It was a community, a mission, a career chapter, a source of friendships, and a place where I had the honor of teaching, building, advising, writing, and helping others succeed.
Over the years, I had the privilege of serving the Sitefinity ecosystem in many ways.
I wrote seven books on Sitefinity.
I taught hundreds of Sitefinity classes, both online and onsite.
I architected and implemented hundreds of Sitefinity websites for organizations around the world.
I built one of the largest libraries of Sitefinity videos on YouTube to help developers, designers, architects, and business users learn the platform.
I created multiple Sitefinity courses on Udemy that reached thousands of students.
I also had the honor of being involved as a partner, trainer, architect, and advisory board member during different phases of the product’s journey.
Looking back, I am proud of the work. I am proud of the people I helped. I am proud of the customers I served. I am proud of the students who trusted me with their learning. And I am grateful for the incredible relationships that came from this journey.
To the Sitefinity developers, designers, partners, customers, and community members I have met over the years: thank you.
Thank you for attending my classes.
Thank you for reading my books.
Thank you for watching my videos.
Thank you for asking hard questions.
Thank you for trusting me with your projects.
Thank you for challenging me to become better.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your Sitefinity journey.
I also want to wish Progress and the Sitefinity team continued success. I have met many talented and dedicated people over the years who cared deeply about the platform, the customers, and the community. I sincerely wish them the very best moving forward.
As part of this transition, I will be shutting down my Sitefinity-focused YouTube channel and removing my Sitefinity courses from Udemy. This is part of creating a clean and respectful closing to this chapter of my professional life.
While this marks the end of my active involvement in the Sitefinity community, it does not erase the meaning of the last 22 years. Those years helped shape me as a technologist, trainer, architect, author, and entrepreneur.
But seasons change.
Technology changes.
Business direction changes.
And sometimes, after giving so much of yourself to one chapter, you recognize that it is time to turn the page.
My focus moving forward will continue to be on the areas where I believe I can make the greatest impact today: AI, Quantum, Cloud architecture, data engineering, Databricks, Fabric, Azure, AWS, GCP, enterprise modernization, and helping organizations prepare for the next generation of intelligent applications.
To everyone who has been part of my Sitefinity story, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
It has been an honor.
It has been a privilege.
And it has been one unforgettable journey.
With gratitude and respect,
Lino Tadros
