Memorable Sitefinity Roundtable in Puerto Rico

I had the chance to attend the Progress Sitefinity Roundtable in Puerto Rico this week, that’s no April Fool’s joke. I landed in San Juan on April 2, the first thing I did was take a look at the beach and realize how beautiful the ocean was. However, the food of Puerto Rico was giving the view some stiff competition. The seafood was so fresh and the pina coladas were out of this world. The roundtable conference itself was filled with brilliant minds and kind faces, it was an honor to meet these outstanding partners and team members, let alone listen to their presentations. Aside from learning about the many reasons Puerto Rico is an amazing tourist destination, I leaned essential knowledge of Progress Sitefinity’s future and where it stands in the world today.

Making moves toward the future

Congratulations to the entire Progress Sitefinity team for releasing version 15.1 while we were at the conference and if you’re interested in knowing more about that please click here. The vision the Sitefinity team has going forward is not only exciting from a technical point of view, but also from a sales and marketing standpoint. I was ecstatic to hear their vision of taking, the already powerful product, Progress Sitefinity and moving it forward from MVC towards ASP.NET 8, React and NextJS. This will improve speed, security, and allow for even more exciting integrations in the future. The opportunity to be exposed to .NET Aspire, NextJS, and seeing the interacting relationship between Progress Sitefinity, a CRM like Salesforce, and Progress Insight through Workato was an absolute treat and above all was a priceless experience. I look forward to seeing where an amazing product like Progress Sitefinity goes and its journey toward NextGen CMS technologies, in other words seeing Progress go to Sitefinity and beyond.

Znode Integration

An exciting part of Progress Sitefinity’s future is the integration of Znode. The end goal for the integration of a platform like Znode is to have a serious integration with an ECommerce platform that enable B2B2C web application to provide its capabilities and services with ease. This is a reasonable and achievable objective as Znode currently runs as a headless and decoupled API based B2B2X e-commerce platform. The combination between the functionality and the power Znode brings and the unambiguous, expeditious nature of Progress Sitefinity can only lead to an enhanced experience for the user, which at the end of the day is the goal for all of Progress Sitefinity and Progress itself.

It was special to me as well accompanying my dad, Lino Tadros, my boss :) and see first hand his influence in the industry and the way his friends, CEOs, Presidents and the Progress Sitefinity team look at him and cherish his input and amazing experience.
