Why are WordPress sites very slow on Azure?

Have you ever wondered why Microsoft Azure doesn’t put more effort into optimizing WordPress on their Azure Web App Service PAAS, especially when the backend performance lags despite costly upgrades? Isn’t it surprising that AWS outperforms Azure in WordPress hosting, offering better performance at a lower cost? As someone certified in Azure, AWS, and GCP, I think Azure is missing out on a significant market and revenue by not prioritizing WordPress performance in their PAAS offerings.
