Our Sitefinity Developer NextJS class will elevate your frontend development expertise to the next level. Participants will dive into Tiered Architecture, API-Driven Content Platforms, and the latest Frontend Framework Features using React and NextJS. This comprehensive training is designed to build your confidence in developing widgets, modules, designs, and templates with the savvy to impress your clientele through cutting-edge Sitefinity acumen. Additionally, you'll master widely applicable multiplatform development techniques, ensuring you're prepared to harness the enduring capabilities of the Sitefinity platform in any arena you may desire! This and the .NET Core Development class may be thought of as complementary courses: this one utilizing the React/NextJS frameworks, and the latter utilizing the .NET Core approach.
Prerequisites:
- Familiarity with React and NextJS fundamentals (preferred)
- Familiarity with general asynchronous programming (preferred)
This course will aid you in:
- Mastering the Sitefinity NextJS Architecture, including pass-through MVC
- Setting up Sitefinity NextJS frontend using npm Packages properly
- Applying the Dependency Injection required for Sitefinity to work in NextJS
- Developing Page Templates using the new Editor in Sitefinity NextJS
- Developing Widget Templates for pre-existing & custom widgets
- Creating Sitefinity Widgets using the NextJS framework
- Modifying Widget Designers to support new custom types
- Utilizing the Web Services API layer with Sitefinity NextJS
- Securing your Sitefinity NextJS Frontend Application
- Debugging and diagnostics for Sitefinity NextJS applications
* Public classes require a minimum of 4 registered attendees, otherwise it may be moved to the next scheduled occurrence of the class or potentially cancelled. Confirmation will be sent a week prior to the session, or as soon as we have booked 4 attendees.
** Each attendee will need access to the free version of Visual Studio 2022 at minimum, and any iteration of Microsoft SQL Server (SQL Express works fine) running locally on their machine for the CMS portion and Visual Studio Code for the NextJS portion of the class. Every attendee must have full admin rights on their machine to participate.
*** Private classes have a maximum of 8 attendees, and each additional seat is $500. The date and time of delivery is negotiable with the customer for private sessions (all time zones welcome).
